Description
In Morning Has Broken, the arrangement is repeated three times, progressing to a higher key each time. It starts in the Key of B-flat, goes to the Key of C, and ends in the Key of D. Ample time is given in both the Harp 1 part and the Harp 2 part to change the levers or pedals for the new keys. In the Evening Prayer arrangement, Harp 2 begins by playing the melody in rolled chords, while Harp 1 plays arpeggio patterns. Then Harp 1 plays the melody, while Harp 2 plays ascending and descending scale patterns. The arrangement ends with a return to the beginning configuration with octave changes. Written in the Key of C, there are no lever or pedal changes in either part. The performance time for Morning Has Broken and for Evening Prayer is about 3 minutes each. They are both available in Four Harps Together.
These arrangements come with separate copies for First Harp and Second Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the two parts together.
