Description
This piece, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, or Cantata No. 147 by Bach, is probably the best known of all Baroque pieces. It is well-loved in church and wedding settings. In this arrangement, Harp 1 and Harp 3 play the famous accompaniment and harmony part and are easiest played on a pedal harp. Harp 2 plays the famous chorale and could be played on a lever harp as well as a pedal harp. The performance time for Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring in about three and a half minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
