Description
Herbstlied is the German title for Felix Mendelssohn’s song about the Autumn landscape. In this arrangement Harp 1 and Harp 2 are best played on pedal harp. Harp 3 can be played on lever harp as well as pedal harp with one lever or pedal change. Written in the key of D minor and in 6/8 time, the music describes the movement of gentle wind through trees, as leaves change colors, and the landscape changes. Each part has a turn to play the lyric melody. Performance time for Autumn Song is four minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
