Description
The history of this old melody takes us to Central Europe and Silesia, a region in modern-day Poland, where it originated. It was called Crusaders Hymn because of the legend that it was sung by German Crusaders on their way to the Holy Land. This arrangement is in the Key of D, and no levers or pedals are changed in the two harp parts. Each part has a turn to play the historic melody, while the other harp plays accompaniment patterns including a lovely descant. Performance time for Crusaders Hymn is about two and a half minutes. This melody has also been arranged by Shari Pack for three harps and is listed in Three Harps Together, with the title Beautiful Savior.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp and Second Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the two parts together.
