Description
This is a delightful arpeggio waltz, with the arpeggios written in a triplet pattern and the arpeggios played in root position. The interchange between the two parts musically describes the movement of dancers as thy twirl and spin and enjoy their time together.
Charlotte Tinsley (1910 – 1998), who wrote the original songs for this arrangement, played and taught harp in California and was active in the music world there. She appeared with Spike Jones in Hollywood and played the harp for several films, including “Land of the Pharoahs” and “The Silver Chalice.” She also played and made recordings with Anthony Galla-Rini, the celebrated American accordionist.
