Description
In this arrangement Harp 3 plays the melody, while the other harp parts play various accompaniment patterns. There are no lever or pedal changes in this piece. This melody of Simple Gifts first became widely known when it was used by the American composer. Aaron Copland in his ballet score for Appalachian Spring. The tune is heard often today as background music in television programs and movies. It was sung by the Ingalls family in Little House on the Prairie. Performance time for Gift To Be Simple is about two minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
