Description
In this arrangement Harp 1 plays the beautiful and inspiring melody and Harp 2 plays a variety of lovely arpeggios. Meditation comes in the opera when Thais is deciding to give up her secular life and turn to God. Jules Massenet (1842-1912) was a French composer, best known for his operas of which he wrote thirty, and this orchestral interlude from Thais is often an encore piece for violin soloists. Performance time for this two harp arrangement of Meditation is about four minutes. Another arrangement of this piece is available in Three Harps Together. and is titled Meditation Intermezzo.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp and Second Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the two parts together.
