Description
The Palms has been arranged for Harp 1 to be played by a pedal harp, and Harp 2 and Harp 3 to be played by a lever harp or a pedal harp. This piece has a dramatic and powerful melody that commemorates Palm Sunday. It is one of the most requested pieces on Easter, as Faure’s lyrics tell of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Here is some of the lyrics. “Let the palms wave on this day of joy and gladness. Jesus is come to banish gloom and sadness. Hosanna! Glory to God!”
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
