Description
In Swiss Echo Song we have an excellent use of dynamics, as the echo is played softly, often by Harp 2, after Harp 1 has played the first theme. Harp 1 requires a pedal harp, and Harp 2 can be played on a lever harp or a pedal harp. Karl Eckert, the composer, was born in Berlin, and at age 5 in 1825 was considered to be a child prodigy. His song was published in Germany but was reviewed in New York in 1852. The composer died at age 58 in 1879. The performance time for Swiss Echo Song is about 3 and a half minutes. An additional arrangement is available in Four Harps Together.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp and Second Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the two parts together.
