Description
In this arrangement of Summer Evening by Johannes Brahms, Harp 1 and Harp 2 are best played on pedal harps. Harp 3 can be played on a lever harp as well as a pedal harp with some lever or pedal changes. Published in 1888, Brahms is describing musically a summer evening and a moon’s reflection in water, “over forest and green meadows, a golden moon in the blue sky shines down in a soothing haze.” Performance time for Summer Evening is four minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
