Description
In this arrangement of the famous melody Morgenstemning from Peer Gynt Suite by Evard Grieg, Harp 1, 2, and 3, are best played on pedal harp. Harp 4 could be played on lever harp as well as pedal harp with a minimum of lever or pedal changes. There is some unison playing between Harp 1 and Harp 2 together, and Harp 3 and Harp 4 together. The melody is divided among all the parts, and the arrangement includes descending arpeggio patterns. Edvard Grieg, the Norwegian composer, is known for many beautiful melodies. This is one of his best, and was first heard in 1875. This melody is also available for Two Harps Together, with the title Morning Mood. Performance time for Prelude for Morning is five minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, Third Harp, and Fourth Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the four parts together.
