Description
In this harp quartet, Harp 1 and Harp 2 are best played on pedal harp, while Harp 3 and Harp 4 can be played on lever harp as well as pedal harp. Written in the Key of F, there are no lever or pedal changes in Harp 3 or Harp 4. The melody is presented several times with different accompaniment patterns. John Thomas, composer and harpist, was appointed harpist to Queen Victoria in 1872. He wrote many interesting pieces for the harp. Performance time for Over the Mountain is five and a half minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, Third Harp, and Fourth Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the four parts together.
