Description
This popular habanera was composed around 1850 by the Spanish Basque composer, Sebastian Yradier. The rhythmic pattern of a dotted eighth-note plus a sixteenth note appears in all parts, indicating the movement of a Spanish dance. There are also triplet patterns and knocking patterns, all of which are enjoyable to hear and to play. The performance time for La Paloma is about three and a half minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
