This beloved sacred song was written in 1912 by C. Austen Miles, who was trained as a pharmacist, but whose love of music led him to become the manager of Hall-Mack publishers for thirty seven years. The song is sometimes called by its first line, I Come to the Garden Alone, and the message of the song is the love you feel from the Savior as you walk and talk with Him in the Garden.

This arrangement can be played by one pedal harp and one lever harp with slight chances in the second harp part, or by two pedal harps. The melody is repeated three times with some differences in the accompaniment, and the melody is heard as it follows lovely sacred interludes.
