Description
This beautiful Flower Song is one of the best known compositions by Gustav Lange, a German composer who wrote around five hundred popular piano pieces in the 1860’s. It is written in 6 /8 time. Harp 1, on a pedal harp, has the melody in the first and last sections. Harp 2, also on a pedal harp, has an interesting triplet accompaniment pattern on the first and fourth beats in each measure. Harp 3, on a lever harp or a pedal harp, has the melody in the middle section; and although there is a key change from the Key of F to the Key of B-flat, there are no lever or pedal changes in Harp 3, because the melody never plays E-flat. Performance time for Flower Song is three and a half minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
