Description
This beautiful melody by César Franck, also known as Panis Angelicus, was originally composed in 1872 for tenor, harp, cello, and organ. Harps 1 and 2 are arranged for pedal harps. Harp 3 can be played by a lever harp tuned in the Key of E-flat, as well as a pedal harp, and there are no lever or pedal changes. The second time the melody is heard played by Harp 1, Harp 2 then plays the melody a measure later, an octave higher, in the form of a round, which is very lovely. The performance time for Bread of Angels is about three and a half minutes. This melody is also available in Two Harps Together under the title Panis Angelicus.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp, Second Harp, and Third Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the three parts together.
