Description

In Brazilian Lullaby, Harp 1 is best played on a pedal harp, while Harp 2 works on a lever harp as well as a pedal harp. In the key change from E minor to E major and back, Harp 2 is given enough time to flip the G levers.  In the E major section, Harp 2 plays the melody of quarter notes and eighth notes agains an accompanying triplet pattern in Harp 1, two against three.  The words of this unusual lullaby tell us that “Tutu Maramba will never harm my child, for father has slain the sly demon of the wild.”  Performance time is about four and a half minutes.

The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp and Second Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the two parts together.
