The four German romantic songs in Bouquet of Roses are “Hedge Roses” by Schubert, “The Rose and the Lily” by Schumann, “The Rose Complained” by Franz, and “My Maiden’s Mouth Is like a Rosebud” by Brahms. Harp 1 has the melody on songs #1 and #3, and Harp 2 has the melody on songs #2 and #4, When the harps are not playing melody, they have interesting accompaniment patterns. The performance time for Bouquet of Roses is four and a half minutes.
The arrangement comes with separate copies for First Harp and Second Harp and an Ensemble Copy showing the two parts together.
