Description
A Mother’s Heart is a medley of four lullabies from around the world. There is a Basque lullaby, a Latvian lullaby, a Guatemalan lullaby, and an English lullaby. Each melody is presented twice with interesting accompaniment patterns in both harp parts.
The words of the lullabies, printed inside the cover of each part, give insight to a mother’s feelings as she rocks her child. For instance in the Basque lullaby the mother sings, “At the gates of heaven they give away shoes, For the little barefooted angels to use.” In the Guatemalan lullaby, the mother sings, “Oh close your eyes, my baby, for I have things to do. I have to wash your baby clothes, and sew a shirt for you.” This medley might be fun for Mother’s Day.
